Crystal Balls . For Your Sacred Space and Magic
In magic, crystal balls have been powerful, time-honored instruments of divination. They allow you to access, amplify, and project energies not normally available. Their use in healing, activating creativity, foretelling the future, and balancing the human energy system is timeless. Scrying, the art of divination by looking into an appropriate surface and receiving information in the form of visions, has been used by healers, shamans, and witch doctors for divination since ancient times.
Within your sacred space, a crystal balls energy can add to the overall vibration aiding in balancing the energy of the space as the crystal’s magical and healing energies are dispersed throughout and within. When it comes to pure crystal quartz vs. a man-made ball or sphere, the choice is our own. Leaded crystal is beautiful and has been a useful tool for divination for me, although I prefer using a pure crystal quartz ball, as it is a power stone that harmonizes and balances. It enhances energy and thoughts, and purifies the spiritual, mental, and physical. It is also a powerfully protective stone, bringing the purified energy in. Historically this crystal has been used to counter black magic, to perform diagnostic healing, and to communicate with spirits and other worlds, hence why it is a good choice for divination and can be harnessed in all forms of magical workings.
Sometimes crystal balls are also made by fusing crystal quartz and glass, as seen here in this Ruby Red Crystal Ball. This ball is made from crushed quartz crystal from unused scraps from forming and polishing other shaped gemstone pieces such as pyramids and obelisks. Leaded glass is added and then it is thoroughly infused with permanent red dye. You may wish to use this Ruby Red crystal ball in magical workings involving passion, love, romance, sex and power. As well the color red lends to determination, courage and fertility. Red has always been a color of great strength, will and victory!
Remember, we want to protect our investments so proper care of all colored crystal, glass and all gemstones should be taken and always kept out of direct sunlight. Put a small tumbled piece of Rose Quartz in direct sunlight and watch how fast it looses its pretty pink color.
