White Magick Alchemy relocating to Misty Mountain
Its always been my personal dream to live in the mountains some day. Away from the hustle and bustle of the large cities and towns, tucked away in the quiet stillness of the forest, within all of it’s beauty and magic. As Northern California continues to grow and change, the congestion on the city streets of what was once a very small farming town have now become unbearable for us to survive in anymore. The traffic is ridiculous, the noise unbearable, and the cost of living is literally suffocating our children. So, we thought what better time to finally realize our dream of living within nature.
My husband Casey and I have purchased a beautiful new mountain home on the edge of the Yosemite preserve on a magical mountain called Misty Mountain, and I can’t tell you how excited we are to finally be moving and living our dream! Thankfully, it is one that Casey and I both shared. We are about 2 weeks away from moving day and we are busy packing up our home where the family has lived for 20 years, as well as the WMA studio. Needless to say, its a production right? So as I am trying to wrap my head around how this is all going to play out, packing, scheduling movers, moving, unpacking when we get there, etc. As we get closer to the big day, Wednesday April 26th, I’m realizing that we may have to shut down the shop for a week or two so that we can get all this stuff moved and organized so we can get back to what we love to do. We have to get the home all unpacked and organized and at the same time set up our new WMA studio location.
I will definitely be putting the Etsy shop on vacation ASAP. But on the fence about putting the whitemagickalchemy.com online shop on vacation or keeping it open during the packing process and move. I just don’t want to be overwhelmed or have the girls overwhelmed during a very overwhelming time. Its stressful all the way around. Exiting at the same time though. There is so much to do right now, my head is spinning.
I think what I will try to do is keep the main shop open for as long as possible, but I may decide just to put it on vacation mode if it becomes to much. Multi-tasking is bad enough in the middle of “the change” – lol. I just am so ready to get to the mountains, get settled in, and really just kick it down a notch. You know what? Life is about living. Its not about pushing and money and material shit. And as I’m getting older, I am also becoming wiser as I approach my crone stage. And what the universe is telling me is that its time to live that dream. And spend my weekends doing this! 😀
As far as orders and ETA’s at this time, today is Wednesday April 12th. Next Monday the 17th we are going to start packing the WMA studio. That means we won’t be able to be doing any crafting of any kind and we won’t be able to ship. For those of you who have orders in right now, we are going to be concentrating on facilitating those orders. If we fall short and your order doesn’t make it to you as soon as you had hoped, I promise I’ll make it up to you. I will through in a free candle or gemstone gift for you 🙂 But we will work hard to get all existing orders out as soon as we can and before we start breaking down the shop next Monday.
For those ordering now, please be aware that there will be delays. Please allow approx 21 to 30 days for your order to be crafted and shipped because we won’t be crafting or shipping as of Monday April 17, 2017 until our new studio is moved and set up.
Upon re-opening White Magick Alchemy, we will be settled into our new crafting studio, maybe a little pooped, but refreshed as we will be waking up to these amazing views every day. Imagine the fresh air! We’re pretty much over the fricken moon here! Its also half the cost of what we are paying to live here in Northern California. Loved it here for my whole life, but now its time to move forward and really get down with nature. I can’t wait to get working up there too! Its going to be great.
So thats the current status of the family and White Magick Alchemy. Also, I am very excited that Aunna and Michael will be joining us on the mountain, and also Sydni will be assisting too! I think we may even be able to talk Jessica into coming up and lending a hand too. I just feel so blessed right now. Yes, its a lot of work, its a big deal. But everyone is onboard with moving and its so cool! I remember when Casey and I were contemplating moving away from Sonoma CA, we thought “Who would be willing to step out of that comfort zone and take a chance and just move away to the mountains?” We were surprised at the show of hands. So basically, WMA is moving to the mountain with all it’s staff intact, yay!
OK, well, thats all for now. I will keep everyone updated as things move forward and/or change, but we are super excited and are looking forward to working in a beautiful huge new studio and start making some really beautiful magic to share with you all.
