Holiday Winter Wassail Punch Spices, a Yuletide Tradition

In Old England, The Twelfth Night marked the last celebration. A final night filled with drinking, feasting and merriment! For it wouldn’t be long before the townspeople would be returning to their daily mundane lives as winter befalled.

Traditional Wassail Punch was the celebratory focus. The old ale-based drink was seasoned with warm winter spices, fruits, sugar and honey and served up in huge pewter punch bowls. The Wassail punch was then passed amongst friends and family and they would toast “Wassail!”. The old English greeting meaning “be well”.

Here at White Magick Alchemy we’ve blended all the old traditional Wassail sugars, fruits, and spices so brewing your own Wassail is as easy as punch! Check it out here
